Picnic Scraps, 2021

Multi-colored quilt featuring a checkered, square pattern

100” | Made of fabric samples and thread from Austin Creative Reuse | Pieced and quilted by machine

I was gifted a bunch of random fabric samples and a challenge. I usually start with design, not with materials, and these materials didn’t even “go together.”
The result is a large picnic blanket I had been wanting with a classic checkered pattern.
